Too many people are expected to move forward without access to compassionate, comprehensive care, and too many communities lack the education and resources needed to prevent harm before it happens.
We’re here to help.
In order to serve our community, we offer the following programs:
Advocacy services focus on empowering victim-survivors throughout their healing journey, offering support to friends and family, and providing education on the issues related to sexual assault and abuse.
We strongly uphold the rights of victim-survivors of sexual assault to:
- Be believed
- Receive compassionate, non-judgmental support
- Determine their own pace and path of healing
- Expect privacy and confidentiality
- Accept or decline any agency services
- Access accurate and up-to-date information
Open Hearts for Humanity provides services to any individual whose life has been impacted by sexual assault, regardless of race, ethnicity, color, religion, disability, pregnancy, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, age, income, veteran status, marital status, or any other basis prohibited by federal, state or local law.
Hospital Advocacy
One possible option you have after a sexual assault is to seek medical care. An advocate is available to meet, support and accompany a victim/survivor through this process.
Legal Advocacy
A Confidential Victim Advocate is available to assist with criminal and civil proceedings at no charge to the victim/survivor.
Hotline & Referrals
An emotional reaction to a traumatic event such as sexual assault is quite natural. A call to the crisis line can be a first step to processing what to do next and help you heal.
Education Prevention
Courses, recorded videos, articles, resources, and more to provide education and bring awareness.
